Supported child contact
The aim of supported contact is to provide a safe, neutral place for children to spend time with parents, siblings and extended family from whom they have been separated. We provide a comfortable and welcoming environment and our contact rooms are equipped with age-appropriate toys, games and activities to encourage interaction between children and families. Families will have access to a kitchen where they are able to prepare snacks and light refreshments for their children and themselves. Supported contact is offered on a room-only basis with the support of our contact facilitators.
The cost of a 2-hour session is £50.00.
Hand-over for contact For many reasons, parents/carers do not always want to be in contact with each other while children are handed over for contact. We are able to facilitate the exchange of a child, or children without parents having to meet face to face.
The cost of handover is from £15 depending on the arrangements that need to be made.
Family mediation Family mediation is a confidential process in which the mediator acts as a neutral third party, supporting parents, and sometimes including children, through family change and disruption, particularly where it has occurred as a result of separation or divorce. The aim of mediation is to help families to find solutions to family difficulties and support children and parents to rebuild relationships. A family mediator can help families to communicate better and to make their own arrangements for the future, for their children. If requested, family mediation sessions can be provided.
The cost for of sessions is charged on a sliding scale according to individual or family income.
