FREE practical music making programme for young people aged 13-16 years, living or attending school in Sydenham or Forest Hill, and with an interest in developing their music skills. Participants will learn how to play a range of musical instruments, develop their music making skills, participate in collaborative music projects and perform to live audiences. Participants will also have the opportunity to gain leadership skills, a nationally recognised Arts Award qualification and insight into music careers. Weekly sessions are held on Fridays at Forest Hill School from 5.30pm-7pm. Interested participants must live or attend a school in Sydenham or Forest Hill and qualify under
at least 1 of the following:
- in receipt of free school meals
- in registered care
- have limited or no regular opportunitiess to access out of school music provision
