The awards, presented by Lewisham Council, recognise the contribution volunteers make in Lewisham.

Among her many achievements, Julia has secured funding for a new playground and dog exercise area on her estate and worked as a mentor offering support and guidance for residents groups. Recently Julia has played an active role in the Residents’ Business plan process, working with Lewisham Homes key services to develop a list of residents ‘wishes’ into deliverable projects.
Also nominated is Sue Thompson, Chair of Fairfields TRA. Sue has made great achievements during her time in this role, attracting funding to deliver a range of social activities for older residents. In addition to her work for the TRA, Sue provides personal assistance to residents that are housebound or have mobility problems by doing their shopping and helping with essential chores in their homes.
Our final nominee, Janet Kitchen, has been involved with Lewisham Homes since 2007 and has contributed greatly to the improvement of services, as well as increasing resident involvement.
