We are continuing to clamp down on people living in our properties illegally.

During October 2009 we carried out 304 occupancy checks on our properties and followed up on 30 cases of suspected subletting. Although leaseholders are free to rent their properties, tenants must have permission from us and the tenant must live in it. Tenants who sublet illegally are committing fraud and depriving other people of homes.
