The team worked closely with the Dogs Trust and Police to promote responsible dog ownership on the Heathside and Lethbridge estates.
The events are part of the ASB team's campaign which started in December last year and is set to run for another year.
Throughout the day 12 dogs received microchipping, subsidised/free neutering, and a play on the fun agility course. Over 20 dog owners showed up to receive free goodies such as, poop scoop bags, dog collars and leads, training tips and some owners participated in the People with Dogs workshops.
Phil McCarthy, Deputy Chair of Heathside and Lethbridge TRA was impressed by the event, "A big thank you to all involved in the dogs trust day and the ASB and the Safer Neighbourhood (SNT) teams. I learnt a lot and so did the residents that they are still talking about how good the day was. Thanks for your time."
The next event will be held Tuesday 8 May on the Honor Oak estate from 11am-3pm.
