Works to some of the green spaces north of Evelyn Street - including Pepys Parks, Aragon Gardens and Grove Square - are due to start in March. As well as improving lighting, cycle and pedestrian paths, and sporting and children's play facilities, this includes the installation of a brand-new lighting sculpture along the river front alongside Aragon Gardens.
From 10am-1pm on Saturday 13 February, you can see models of the sculpture and talk to the architects, at the Foreshore building on Deptford Strand, SE8 3AG (entrance off Aragon Gardens opposite Aragon Tower). The model and project manager will also be at the next Evelyn Ward Local Assembly (7.30-9.30pm on Tuesday 23 February at the Evelyn Community Centre at 1 Kingfisher Square, SE8 5TW). Plus you'll also be able to see the planned sculpture design at www.lewisham.gov.uk/pepysparks from early next week.
