Eight new door entry systems: What you wished for
Eight new door entry systems: What you wished for
With funding from the 2010/11 Residents’ Business Plan, we have installed eight new door entry systems on estates throughout the borough.

The following blocks were allocated the funding by resident judges:
- Wells Park and Peters Park in Sydenham;
- Two systems at Elsinore Road in Catford;
- The block at the corner of Campshill Road and Court Hill Road;
- 39 Brockley Grove;
- Romney Close in New Cross; and
- Sayer House on Honor Oak Estate.
Our Major Works team and contractors went out on-site post the Christmas/New Year break, armed with loads of feedback and insight into each project gained from residents at the drop-in session held on 16 December. We started fitting the handsets, communications material and doors straightaway.
The Resident Liaison Officer handled day-to-day issues on-site while Lewisham Homes Project Coordinators liaised between tenants, leaseholders and any other stakeholders such as the Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
They keep an eye on the budget and make sure that what has been agreed with residents is kept to. They also work with the contractor and consultant to
keep you informed through meetings, bulletins and newsletters.
