Improvements to your home 2009/10

Lewisham Homes will spend about £18 million in the year ending March 2010 making improvements to your homes and communal (shared) areas.

repairs toolsOur capital works programme for 2009/10 is near completion. We’ve invested £15 million in work to your homes and shared areas on your estates, as well as an additional £3 million on external decorations.

Among the projects carried out were repair and decoration of external and communal areas (shared) across the borough, as well as boiler replacements and door entry renewals and refurbishments.

We also carried out structural concrete repairs, railing and gate repairs, brickwork, kitchen and bathroom renewals, electric, wiring, heating installations and new roofs. Some areas had new lifts and CCTV installed.

Works were at the following estates:

  • Hughesfield Estate - Grenville, Blake and Hawkins Houses, 12 New King St
  • Sayes Court – Dacca St, Lynch Walk,
  • Dryfield Walk, Czar Street and Chester House
  • Glastonbury House/Falmouth Close/ and Barnstaple House
  • Somerville Estate
  • Valentine Court, Pikethorne and Longfield Crescent
  • Honor Oak Estate – Street properties
  • Rawlinson House – Mercator Estate
  • Allwood Close & Laurel Grove – Hazel Grove Estate
  • Shelduck and Guillemot Courts – Evelyn Estate
  • Woodcote House – Sayes Court
  • Argosy and Lanyard House
  • Woodvale, Shirburn Close, Commodore
  • Court, Benden House, Clement House
  • Hillcrest Estate/ Milton Court and
  • Woodpecker Road
