Launch of Community Link
Lewisham Police and Lewisham Council have joined up to launch ‘Community Link’ - a new community messaging service.
Published On: 16/08/2010
The service will provide news and information about community safety activity and initiatives in the local area, local interest prosecutions and sentencing outcomes, as well as critical incidents affecting individual areas of the borough.
Through this service interested residents can receive messages from their local Safer Neighbourhoods Team, the aim of which is to keep the community informed about their local area.
In order to receive messages residents will need to register their details. This information will enable Safer Neighbourhoods teams to send out local messages. Anyone can register - registration is free and simple to follow.
Once registered, the resident will receive messages via email when there is relevant news about their area.
For more information or to sign up for Community Link messages, contact your local Safer Neighbourhood team by visiting the Lewisham Police website, or call the non-emergency police number - 0300 123 1212
