Lewisham resident shortlisted for the TPAS Tenant of the Year!

Her TRA successfully secured £50,000 to build a new play area, and £10,000 to create a dog exercise area. Julia’s involvement extends to making strategic decisions on the Major Works Project Board, and mentors residents from other TRAs. As a long-standing tenant she understands the needs of her community and is one of 1300 residents involved in shaping the future of housing in Lewisham.

"I was absolutely astounded to hear of my nomination for 'Tenant of the Year'. I didn't expect it at all. It was a big surprise but definitely a very good surprise." said Julia.

"I feel very honoured as I'm sure there are many residents that are far more deserving than me and that could have been nominated. I am very flattered and I really do appreciate it!"
