Major Works: What’s happening in your area?
We will spend £15 million this year making improvements to residents’ homes through our capital works programme. We’ll also spend £3 million on an external decorations programme.

This budget covers works to communal areas, installing better security measures, fixing windows and roofing, structural repairs as well as upgrading kitchens and bathrooms.
We are carrying out work at a number of properties at the moment including:
- Kitchen and bathroom upgrades at Pepys and Evelyn Estates
- Repairs and decoration of communal areas at Hughesfield Estate
- Concrete repairs, brickwork and railing as well as communal areas at Sayes Court. There is also some external and kitchen and bathroom work being done at Woodcote House.
- Renewal of shed and bin doors, asphalting at Glastonbury House
- Renew porches, communal windows and concrete and brickwork at Somerville Estate
- Structural concrete repairs at Valentine and Pikethorne Estate
- Kitchen and bathroom upgrades, central heating and roof repairs at Honor Oak street properties
- Lift renewals at Woodvale, Shirburn, Commodore Court, Benden and Clement House
- New CCTV has been installed at Hillcrest Estate, Milton Court and Woodpecker Road
- Windows, roof and external structural repairs at Magnolia House, Evelyn Street
- Replacement roof covering and insulation at Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill.
