Lewisham Central Ward Assembly funded a summer programme to address the lack
of youth provision in the area.
Elevating Success, a youth development and training charity delivered the programme in partnership with Lewisham Homes and L&Q with 24 young people ranging from the age of 8 years to 16 years attending each day.
Activities included:
• Team building at Painshill Park
• field studies trip to Epping Forest
• seeing birds of prey at Eagle Heights
• going to the cinema to see Kung Fu Panda 2
• Sian Park Tropical Zoo.
The event was a big success with children and adults alike.. Parent Joanne Dennie stated, “She was glad that he had got to experience the sort of things and places he would never normally go to”.
