Residents’ Business Plan

The events were the first phase of our second annual Residents’ Business Plan programme, which gives residents the opportunity to decide priorities for the future. Residents work with Lewisham Homes’ managers to develop projects which are delivered the following year.

More than 50 new residents and key residents from last year’s plan were asked to think of ‘Oscar’ winning ideas to improve housing services, describing how it would look and how it could be achieved within available budgets. These ideas were then included in a survey sent to about 3000 residents, to capture more views.

Following this, residents discussed the results and decided which ideas to develop. At their next meeting in October, managers will develop the projects with residents. Residents will present the final Plan to Lewisham Homes’ Board later in the year, which will be fed into our corporate 2011/12 Business Plan.

Residents will be invited to quarterly meetings to be updated on progress of their tasks, as well as monitoring them once they are complete.
