On the 12 March 2011 we held our annual resident conference.

Over 100 residents joined staff and local partners to celebrate the achievements of residents who have made a difference in their community and attend workshops to shape the future of community involvement in Lewisham Homes.
The conference also hosted the Lewisham Homes Involver Awards, which saw over 18 nominations this year. Residents at the conference voted for the winners and the awards were presented by Lewisham Homes Board Chair Julia Cotton and the lead for Housing Councillor Susan Wise.
Julia Donovan of Evelyn Tenants and Residents Association scooped Tenant of the Year, while Honor Oak Tenants and Residents Association were awarded Best TRA Initiative of the Year. Get Lewisham Working secured the best partner award for its work in helping Lewisham Homes residents to return to work.
The workshops were an opportunity for residents to contribute their ideas to the future of community involvement at Lewisham Homes as well share best practice with other residents to build and maintain communities. 100% of attendees said they would attend future Lewisham Homes event and 98% of residents thought the event was either very good or good.
Julia Donovan, award winner stated “Conference was great - more people attended than I thought and helping with the TRA workshop was fantastic. It felt amazing to win Tenant of the Year – I’m totally shocked but very much appreciate it.”
