The new website is a place where young residents can find lots of useful information tailored for them.
It was created with support from six young residents who attended two focus groups held in July and August to tell us their ideas of how the new website should look.
Some of their suggestions were that the website should be eye catching, include information about jobs and training, upcoming events and a photo gallery. The suggestions were brilliant and we included as many of them as we could.
We also created a Facebook page where residents can come together to discuss issues and share ideas.
The young residents who participated were: Atinuke Abimbola, Felicia Alagbe, Lee Ambersley, Michael Nesbeth, Patrick Kamara and Renee Robinson.
They told us that they really enjoyed taking part in the focus groups. Here are a few comments:
“The focus groups have been brilliant. I have been able to meet new people I wouldn’t have met before.” Lee Ambersley.
“ I feel important as though I have been a part of something.” Renee Robinson.
