There are a number of ways for you to get involved with Lewisham Homes, and by working together we have improved services.
You said:
We would like to have a residents assocaition on the Bampton Estate in Forest Hill
We did:
In February 2010, Bampton Tenants and Residents Association was successfully set up and a TRA committee set up and have elected a committee. They have had 3 successful meetings and are currently planning their first community event
You said:
Residents indicated through their training feedback that they would like to recieve Equality and Diversity training
We did:
An Equality and Diversity training program was delivered from February to June 2010 and over 28 involved residents have now recieved training in this area. Further sessions are being planned and any interested residents who would like to undertake this training should contact the Community Involvement Team on 0208 613 7660
You said:
At the Income focus group in March 2010, residents suggested a number of changes to the income letters and also to the Self Help Debt pack
We did:
Following resident suggestions, we simiplified the language used in the income letters to make them easier to understand, promoted the services of our in house benefit advisers, developed a glossary of legal terms to include with the income letters and shortened the Self help debt pack and made it easier to use.
