You will be asked to fill in this incident diary and return it to your nearest housing office. These diary sheets have been designed to make recording incidents of antisocial behaviour as easy as possible. Your completed diary sheets will help Lewisham Homes and the agencies we work with, deal with your case of antisocial behaviour.
What happens next? Lewisham Homes will:
- Interview/visit the complainant within three working days if the antisocial behaviour is considered to be severe. If it is not considered to be severe this will be within five working days.
- Advise the victim of any relevant or available support services.
- Agree an action plan for managing their reported case.
- Provide an individually tailored support pack of relevant information.
- Identify and arrange interviews with any witnesses to support the case.
- Update the reporter as to the progress of the case approximately every two weeks in severe cases of antisocial behaviour.
- Confirm confidentiality unless the reporter is agreeable for any disclosure.
- Identify and progress any early remedies such as mediation.
- Identify any need for additional security measures such as fireproof letterboxes or improved lighting.
- Contact the alleged perpetrator to invite them for an interview within one working day of interviewing the complainant.
- Identify any support options that may be open and refer as necessary.
- For young people look to access support schemes such as the Multi Agency Inclusion Panel and diversionary initiatives such as the Ilderton car project, boxing in Deptford, Brighter Futures. There are also small scale football events for the estates in the Forest Hill and Sydenham areas via the Kickz Start Programme.
Where can I go for help when my housing office is closed?
Remember in an emergency always contact the police on 999.
The Housing Emergency Support Team (HEST) is a group of specially trained housing staff who will provide you with counselling, advice and support out of office hours.
HEST are on call throughout the night and at weekends and public holidays, 365 days a year, and will either help you over the phone or visit you at home. They will know what action you and Lewisham Homes can take against people who harass you. They can also contact other organisations, such as the Police, on your behalf. There are also other helplines and organisations that can provide support and advice, independently of the Council.
