Out of hours emergency repairs service
An emergency repairs service is available outside normal office hours. If you report an emergency repair to us out of hours we will come and make the situation safe. The next working day we will order any follow on works that are needed and these will be carried out in normal working hours.

The following are considered repairs emergencies:
- No drinking water or loss of mains water
- Communal door entry phones not working
- Communal heating not working
- Lift breakdowns
- Total loss of electrical supply
- Make an area safe after criminal damage
- Major blockages, surging drains, stacks, toilets
- Dangerous structures and ceilings
- Major water penetration and flooding
The Police
In an emergency you should phone 999. Use this service to contact the Police in situations when you need an immediate response, so if a crime is happening now or if anyone is in immediate danger.
Phone 0300 123 1212 to contact the Police when it’s not an emergency.
Antisocial behaviour, harassment or domestic violence
Call Lewisham Council’s main switchboard number 020 8314 6000 and ask for Housing Emergency Support Team (HEST).
Victim Support (in Lewisham) for domestic abuse matters
020 8698 4583. Open 9am-5pm but messages can be left outside these hours on extension 4 and will be returned as soon as possible.

Noise
If you are experiencing noise problems, London Borough of Lewisham's Environmental Enforcement department can be contacted between 9.00am and 4pm Monday to Friday on 0208 314 2170. They can send an immediate response unit during those hours if required.
An additional evening service runs from 7pm - midnight Monday to Thursday and from 7pm - 3am Friday to Sunday. To access this after hours service, call 0208 314 6000 and leave a message. They will call back within 30 minutes, and visit 45 minutes later if necessary.
No service operates outside the hours stated above.
