Street lighting

The Council is responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of streetlights, illuminated street signs and bollards. To let them know of any fault with a street light use the online Street Fault Report Form or telephone 020 8314 7171.

Animal Welfare

Whether you lose your pet, find a stray, or want to know what to do about foxes in your garden, Lewisham Animal Welfare can help you. Visit Lewisham Council website or call on 020 8314 2098.

Abandoned vehicles

If you would like to report an abandoned or an untaxed vehicle, please contact Envirocall using the details below to report the problem directly. You can also report the problem at Love Lewisham. If your vehicle has been removed by Lewisham Council please contact Envirocall to retrieve it.

Recycling

By recycling the majority of your domestic rubbish you will be conserving natural resources, reducing energy consumption, protecting the environment and creating jobs. Paper, cardboard, glass, plastic bottles and tins can be placed in your green box, green wheelie bin, or communal recycling bin. For more information, to request recycling facilities for your household or estate, or to locate your nearest recycling point, please contact Lewisham Council Environmental Services.

Pest Control

Pest control is provided by Lewisham Council. Lewisham Homes have an agreement with the Council to carry out pest control where a number of properties in a block or whole block are affected. Residents who have pest control issues within their individual property need to contact Lewisham Council Environmental Services. Residents will not be charged for the treatment of rats, however there will be a charge for all other pest control treatments. A discount is available for residents who receive a state pension or full benefit.

Bulk refuse or lumber

Bulk refuse, such as fridges, can be collected by Lewisham Council Environmental Services. Residents will be charged for collection service.

Fly-tipping

You can report fly-tipping to Lewisham Council Environmental Services. Anyone caught fly-tipping will be prosecuted. Read here for more information.

Graffiti

The graffiti team will remove all external graffiti within four days of it being reported, and within 24 hours if it is offensive. To report graffiti contact Lewisham Council Environmental Services ot take a digital photo with your camera or phone and post it online at Love Lewisham. Read here for more information.
