It might be acting on your idea to introduce a freephone number for Repairs Services, inviting you to estate inspection walkabouts with us, or getting you to test our services by acting as mystery shoppers. It's all part of our approach to give you the chance to influence your housing services. Our menu of involvement opportunities are listed on this page.
As part of our commitment to deliver great housing services for thriving neighbourhoods, we have standards for involvement.
The Residents' Compact sets out how residents will be informed and involved in shaping Lewisham Homes.
The Right to Manage (TMOs)
Lewisham Homes and Lewisham Council support Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs) where there is interest from tenants and residents.
Everyone is different which is why we are offering you a ‘menu’ of involvement opportunities. Explore this page to see a list of ways you can become involved with Lewisham Homes, and choose an activity that suits the level of involvement and time that you are able to contribute.
How to Get Involved
This page tells you how you can contact us so that we can guide you through the process from registration to attendance at involvement opportunities, and advise you of all the support available along the way.
Some of the involvement opportunities described in pages above are classed as regular forums, where members meet periodically to share ideas and can give recommendations that contribute towards decisions made to improve the service.
Residents' business plan
This year residents have taken ownership of a major project transforming the way we deliver housing services!
Resident Scrutiny Committee
A new involvement opportunity for Lewisham Homes where residents look at services in greater detail and make recommendations for improvement.
Tenant and Residents' Associations (TRAs)
TRAs are voluntary groups made up of people who live in a particular Lewisham Homes area or scheme. They are structured to facilitate tenant and leaseholder involvement and community improvement. Each TRA can receive funding through Lewisham Tenants’ Fund for day-to-day running, events and computer equipment.
In partnership with Lewisham Tenants Fund and other stakeholders, we offer a range of training opportunities to help residents improve their IT skills and how they work within their communities. We also offer support to help residents find work and manage their finances.
The Area Panel provides a forum for residents to work with Lewisham Homes in shaping how our services are delivered.
