Keeping safe at home

Safety and security in your home is hugely important to us and we want our residents to be informed about keeping risks to a minimum.
Crime is an unfortunate part of life but there are a few things you can do to increase your safety and security, including:
- Making sure all windows and entrance doors are securely locked when you leave home;
- Ensure your entrance door is locked and your windows secure before you go to bed;
- Do not leave valuables on display to passers by e.g. don’t leave your keys, wallet or mobile phone on your window sill;
- If you see anything suspicious in and around your neighbourhood do not hesitate to report this to the police; and
- Never let a stranger into your home unless they can prove who they are and their reason for being there.
