The Lettable Standard

Before you move into your new home we will ensure the property is safe, clean and in a reasonable state of repair. This is called the Lettable Standard and sets out the standard our properties will meet when they are let to new tenants.

Lewisham Homes promise

• The property will be cleaned to a high standard.
• We will make sure that gas and electrical appliances have had a safety check.
• We will make sure that all water and heating systems are working.
• We will issue new tenants with a gas safety certificate and NICEIC electrical inspection certificate.

We will try to undertake all repairs before a you move into the property, but where repairs are not urgent, we may carry them out after you have moved in. In those cases, a target time for completion will be given.
