Are you insured?

Contents insurance is not included in your rent or service charge.

If you would like to insure your belongings against theft, fire, vandalism and water damages you should seek advice from insurance providers.

The Council is working with Norwich Union to make it easy for you to get insured. Under this scheme, premiums are collected on a weekly basis and can be paid with your rent. Weekly premiums start at 92p per week for £6000 of cover.

Home contents are covered on a ‘new for old’ basis. You can apply for home contents insurance by visiting your nearest housing office.
