Our mission

To deliver great housing services for thriving neighbourhoods

Our approach

We take a victim-centred approach to tackling antisocial behaviour. We support witnesses and victims of antisocial behaviour, and work with other agencies to make sure you get the help you need. We can also take practical measures, such as improving security in your home.

The Respect Standard

Lewisham Homes has signed up to the Government’s Respect Standard to demonstrate our commitment to delivering good services to help stop antisocial behaviour. The Standard is built around six core commitments:

  • accountability, leadership and commitment;
  • empowering and reassuring residents;
  • prevention and early intervention;
  • tailored services for residents and provision of support for victims and witnesses; and
  • protecting communities through swift enforcement.

Action and support

  • We will work with you to try and solve the problem. We support male and female victims in mixed gender and same gender relationships. You will always have the final say in any steps that we take.
  • If you need to find temporary housing we can help by contacting specialist domestic violence support, or the Single Homeless Intervention and Prevention Service (SHIP).
  • We can also help to give you increased priority through Lewisham Council’s allocations scheme to improve the chance of you being rehoused in the borough.
  • We can help you to find private rented accommodation.
  • If you want to leave the borough, the Lewisham Fresh Start scheme helps people who want to relocate to different parts of the country.
  • Through the Sanctuary scheme we may be able to improve the security of your home by installing a safe room.
  • We will help you if you wish to take action against your abuser by working with the police. This could include an injunction, eviction or even imprisonment.
