To deliver great housing services for thriving neighbourhoods

Hate crime

Hate crime is abuse that targets victims because of their age, race, faith, religion, disability or because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

Why we don't tolerate hate crime

Lewisham Homes does not tolerate any form of hate crime. If a Lewisham Homes tenant has committed a hate crime they have breached their tenancy agreement with us, which states that tenants must not commit, nor allow members of their household or invited visitors to commit, any harassment or threat of harassment that may interfere with the peace and comfort of, or cause offence to, other persons in the neighbourhood.

How we can support you if you are a victim of hate crime

We take every report of hate crime very seriously and will always investigate it thoroughly - providing practical and emotional support.

We work closely with the Metropolitan Police and Lewisham Borough Council, as well as many other support agencies to make sure you have all the information and help you need.

You can report hate crime to our Antisocial Behaviour team by completing our online reporting form here or by phone or email.
