Negotiating a payment plan for your rent arrears

Ignoring the problem won’t make it go away. If you are having trouble paying your rent, contact the Rent team straightaway to put together a payment plan that you can stick to. A reasonable amount every month is much better than an offer you can’t afford or maintain.

Preparing a budget

One of the most important things you can do is plan a budget that you can stick to. You can download a copy of our Self-Help Debt Pack which contains a budget planner and either fill this out yourself or our staff in the Rent team will be happy to help you fill it out.
