When should I tell you if I am planning to move home?
This page outlines how much notice you need to give Lewisham Homes if you plan to move home or if you no longer need you property.
The amount of notice you need to give us varies depending on the reason you are leaving.
If you plan to leave your property, you must give us notice.
If you are moving to another social landlord within the borough of Lewisham, you will need to give us one week’s notice.
If you are moving outside the borough or you no longer need council housing, you must give us four weeks’ notice to end your tenancy officially.
You will have to make rent payments until the end of the notice period, so please tell us as soon as you have a moving date.
