What our Caretakers do
Lewisham Homes' Caretakers maintain and clean communal (shared) areas on our estates.
Our Caretakers are responsible for:
Daily - Indoors | Daily - External | Weekly |
| Areas: Entrance, lobbies and lifts | Areas: Refuse chutes, bin stores | Areas: Stairways, landings, corridors, walkways, ledges, railings, walls, graffiti removal (inside) low level internal glazing to communal areas |
| Tasks: Sweep and mop lifts and lobby areas. Spot mop in shared areas where necessary. Health and Safety checks and removal of bulk items. | Tasks: Check chutes for blockages, ensure empty bin is under the chute and remove any bulk items. | Tasks Areas mopped and swept where appropriate, glass and wall cleaned, ledges and railings wiped down and litter removed. |
Window cleaning
Our Contractor, F & G Cleaners carry out a window cleaning service to large, high level communal (shared) windows in some blocks. This service is not available for street properties.
