About tenancy

Your Tenancy AgreementYour Tenancy Agreement is a legal contract between you and Lewisham Council. It is designed to make sure that you and other tenants are good neighbours and take care of the homes you rent.

Occupancy checksWe carry out regular occupancy checks to make sure the right people are living in our properties and to reduce tenancy fraud.
Satellite DishesLewisham Council has installed Integrated Reception Systems (IRS) on all blocks with 12 or more flats.
Ending your tenancyYou may end your tenancy by giving us four weeks notice to quit in writing, or by completing a 'vacation notice' which you must sign.
Recharging reasonable costsWe will recharge you reasonable costs, including a 15% administration fee and legal costs where applicable, for any damage you have caused to your property or surrounding area.
