The Lettable Standard

Before you move into your new home we will ensure the property is safe, clean and in a reasonable state of repair. This is called the lettable standard and sets out the standard our properties will meet when they are let to new tenants.

Lewisham Homes Promise

We promise to make sure that properties we rent to tenants meet our lettable standard.

• This means that the property will be cleaned to a high standard .
• We will make sure that gas and electrical appliances have had a safety check.
• We will make sure that all water and heating systems are working.
• We will issue new tenants with a gas safety certificate and NICEIC electrical inspection certificate.

We will endeavour to undertake all repairs before a tenant moves into the property, but where repairs are not urgent, Lewisham Homes may carry them out after the tenant has moved in. In those cases, a target time for completion will be given.
