Procurement Manager LEW071

The Property Services Directorate is currently looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to take responsibility for the strategic procurement of construction contracts and other items of procurement on behalf of the organisation. 

The post holder will be responsible for the planning and preparation of a £200 million capital investment programme which will improve the condition of the properties in accordance with the aspirations of residents.

This will involve:
- Developing and implementing the procurement strategy. 
- Ensure that procurement works are carried out in accordance with UK and EU   legislation. 
- Develop relationships with other similar organisations and pursue options for joint procurement. 
- Introduce innovative contractual arrangements to secure improved value for money. 
- Develop systems that will monitor the performance of suppliers and contractors. 
- Manage the Procurement Team. 

The successful candidate will: 
- Be capable of thinking strategically and of project managing complex procurement exercises. 
- Be knowledgeable in respect of construction contracts. 
- Be enthusiastic and dedicated to providing a high level of service to residents.
