Lewisham Homes is a silver-standard Investor in People, demonstrating our commitment to excellence in people management, leadership, staff involvement and empowerment, and employee health and wellbeing.
Positive about disability
We’ve been certified as a Disability Confident Employer by Government’s Department for Work and Pensions, demonstrating our positive approach to employing disabled people.
Living Wage commitment
We’re an accredited Living Wage employer, meaning that everyone working for us, or one of our contractors, is paid a minimum hourly wage of £10.20. This is the London allowance, and is significantly higher than the national minimum per hour for over 25s.
British Standard 9997 (BS 9997) certification
Safety remains our top priority and we are proud to confirm that with our stringent management of fire risk, we have received British Standard 9997 (BS 9997) certification.
The BS 9997 standard sets the benchmark that all housing providers should be working towards and we are proud to be leading the way.
British Safety Council 3 Stars
The British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit provides a high-level best practice specification over and above current standard Health and Safety requirements. We scored three stars, demonstrating our commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety standards.
We are a member of TSA, the industry body for Technology Enabled Care (TEC), representing the largest industry specific network in Europe and bringing together a growing membership of organisations across local government, health and the private sector.
As part of our commitment to Equality, diversity and inclusion we have adopted the Halo Code. The Halo Code protects black employees who wear hairstyles associated with their racial, ethnic, and cultural identities, from discrimination.
We are proud to have been recognised as one of the winners of Inside Housing’s annual resident safety campaign for our work on fire safety throughout the year. The campaign celebrates outstanding initiatives that have engaged residents and encouraged them to work with landlords to raise awareness of safety issues.
