Meet the team
Our Executive Leadership team is made up of our Chief Executive, Director of Resident Services, Director of Finance & Technology, Director of Property Services and Safety, and Director of Development.
Our Chief Executive reports to the Lewisham Homes Board which sets our strategic direction and uses its expertise to assist in guidance and decision making. The Board takes a close interest in performance, finance and service improvement data.
Margaret Dodwell, CEO
Responsible for:
- Setting strategy and direction
- Managing overall operations and resources

- People Services and Organisational Development
Supports and advises managers on employee relations as well as dealing with recruitment, payroll and changes to terms and conditions. Leads on staff development and ensuring we have the right skills in the organisation to deliver excellent services. - Communications
Delivers a programme of engaging and informative campaigns, supporting residents to influence housing services and access local opportunities.
Rowann Limond, Director of Finance and Technology and Company Secretary
Financial Services
Supports the development of our business plan, provides financial management support, as well as effective performance monitoring to managers across the business enabling us to improve services and deliver value for money.
ICT
Provides up-to-date and effective ICT support to our business. This includes maintaining our core business systems, ICT network and telephony services as well as developing systems that enable us to work more effectively and deliver better services.
Procurement
Provides advice and support on good contract management to deliver value for money through service improvements and cost savings.
Jon Kanareck, Director of Resident Services and Deputy Company Secretary
Housing Management
Works with Lewisham Council to let homes to new tenants, advises on change to tenancies and housing transfers. Enforces Tenancy Agreements and tackles anti-social behaviour.
Customer Services, Income and Welfare Benefits
Provides reception services and integrated call centre to residents. Collects rent and provides advice to residents on benefits and financial management.
Environmental Services
Manages caretakers and gardeners who look after communal areas and green spaces across our estates. Removes bulk refuse and sweeps our estates.
Home Ownership and Independent Living
Provides services to 5,000 leaseholders including consultation for major works, collecting service charges, and processing Right to Buy applications. The Independent Living team provides services to older residents living in our sheltered accommodation.
Mark Newstead, Director of Property Services and Safety
Responsible for leading the property services and safety directorate, navigating the safety agenda, managing our in-house maintenance service and ensuring our stock is well-maintained. This includes the following priorities.
Delivering our safety agenda
We will be particularly focussed on preparing for the requirements of the new building and fire safety acts, and the supporting regulations. This will include setting up a new dedicated building safety team. We will also be continuing our programme of ongoing safety checks and working to deliver our major works programme.
Providing good quality, safe and decent homes
In 2021/22 we are committed to investing £64million in improving our properties, with a focus on safety, particularly fire doors.
Improving our repairs service
We want to make this service simpler and easier for our residents. It is our ambition to consistently deliver an excellent and reliable resident experience.
