Do you have a recipe that has been passed down for generations, a seasonal favourite, or a special dish that you always cook at this time of year?
Lewisham Homes and Evelyn Community Store want to hear about it! Together, we are running a community recipe exchange to collect as many celebratory recipes as possible from across Lewisham, but we need your help to do it.
If you have a dish that you always turn to when you are celebrating – big or small, simple or complicated – we would like you to share your recipe with us. If it is special to you then it deserves to be part of this project.
The recipes will be put up online for other people to see what Lewisham makes when it’s celebrating and some of them may even end up in a published cookbook! You can also visit the web page to try one or two for yourself.
To take part, just email getinvolved@lewishamhomes.org.uk with the name of the dish, the list and quantities of ingredients, and your method. If you use special equipment to make your dish please include this at the start of the recipe. If your recipe is one that has been handed down through the generations and so it’s not in English don’t worry, we can translate it for you.
