Lewisham Council is giving residents the chance to help shape its Housing Allocation Scheme.
There are currently 10,000 people on Lewisham’s waiting list for housing, and only around 1,000 homes become available each year. The allocation scheme determines who should be prioritised and on what grounds.
The council is proposing changes to its allocation scheme and would like to know what its residents think, with a consultation running until 14 February 2021.
The aim of the proposed changes is to improve the policy, making it fairer and more responsive to housing needs in the Lewisham borough.
This is your chance to make your voice heard and contribute to the development of that new scheme.
