Following the success of last year’s launch of the ‘Love Money’ event, we are once more holding a full-day financial workshop on 12 February 2020.
All residents are invited to join us at the Old Town Hall on Catford Road from 10.30am to 4pm, where you will have the opportunity to have an informal chat with us, as our knowledgeable staff can give you tips and advice on how to manage your money better. Our aim is to help you cover your bills and essentials, while also freeing up money to spend on other things you enjoy.
During the day we will be holding the below sessions.
- Digital skills and getting online – 10.30-11.15am
- Energy saving tips – 11.30am-12.15pm
- saving for a rainy day – 12.30-1.15pm
- Employment support – 1.30-2.15pm
- Pension advice – 2.30-3.15pm
- ‘Lets Talk’ – focusing on debt and mental health – 3.30-4.15pm
During the day, we’ll be joined by engie and services will be offered by the Lewisham Homes welfare benefits advice team, South East London Community Energy (SELCE), Credit Union, Pecan, Money Advice Service and South London & Maudsley (SLAM). Specialist debt advisors will also be available to offer advice in pre-booked meetings.

During the day we will be providing refreshments, and there will be a chance for those who take part to win prizes such as: a family bowling package, cinema tickets, theatre tickets, Nando’s and Amazon gift-cards, and yoga and sound mediation classes.
