Safeguarding is our priority at Lewisham Homes.
We aim to protect the health and wellbeing of all our residents and also employees, so they are free from harm, abuse and neglect.
We are supporting National Safeguarding Adults Week which takes place from 15 to 21 November 2021. The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Creating Safer Cultures’ and the focus is on how organisations and individuals can take steps to minimise harm occurring in the first instance whilst also ensuring correct procedures and policies are in place so that safeguarding concerns are raised, are recognised and responded to effectively.
Creating safer cultures is:
If you have concerns that someone you know is at immediate risk, you should in the first instance contact the emergency services police, ambulance or fire services.
If you or someone you know is suffering or is likely to suffer serious harm, you should contact your local Adult or Children’s Social Care Service
If you have any concerns regarding a Lewisham Homes resident or you would like support for yourself, please complete Lewisham Homes online Safeguarding referral form or call 0800 028 2 028, choosing option 5.
The pandemic has been especially difficult for many people. National Safeguarding Adults Week is a perfect opportunity to check in with neighbours and friends.
Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.
