PLACE/Ladywell

From August 2016, we are responsible for managing 24 new 2 bedroom homes at PLACE/Ladywell. PLACE is owned by Lewisham Council and provides temporary homes to local families in high priority housing need.

The unique way in which the building is constructed makes it one of the first of its kind in the UK. PLACE also provides 16 commercial spaces for small and medium sized local businesses.

We are providing a package of support for PLACE residents so that they are happy in their homes.  This includes helping these families find permanent places to live.

In March 2019, it was announced that the PLACE/Ladywell site will be redeveloped into 200 permanent homes, with 50% of these being social homes. You can read more about the redevelopment on Lewisham Council’s website here.

The PLACE/Ladywell building will be taken down and put up again elsewhere in Lewisham. The Council has planning permission for a pop-up village of 34 flats on Edward Street in Deptford, which you can find out about here.

London Live have made this short film about PLACE. For more information on the site, see the Council website here.
