As a social housing provider we understand the importance of engaging with young people in our communities and doing what we can to enhance their opportunities.
That’s why we partnered with the Woodpecker Youth Club in New Cross to help with funding for its Girls and Boys Groups. Available for young people aged 8-14 from the borough, the initiative was created to educate and inspire. Over eight weeks, the youth club was able to reach close to 40 young people.
“The sessions have taught me how to look after myself,” said Rebecca, aged 10. Jaz, another participant aged 11, said: “I really
liked the group discussions.”
We look forward to supporting other programmes like this in the future.
