We are welcoming residents to 25 new one-, two- and three-bedroom flats in our Kenton Court development, plus six four-bedroom houses on Marnock Road, all let at social rents.
Located on the corner of the Adamsrill Road and Champion Road in Sydenham, the Kenton Court site was formerly an extra-care facility which was deemed not fit for purpose and demolished.
The three-storey development includes a shared amenity space within a rear courtyard, the provision of three wheelchair accessible parking bays, plus the provision of secure cycle and refuse storage.
At 25 homes, this is the largest development Lewisham Homes has delivered since Longfield Crescent in 2019.
Along with the six family houses on Marnock Road completed in April and six temporary accommodation flats on Canonbie Road completed in March, this means we have handed over 37 homes so far this year.
We currently have a further 11 schemes under construction, which together will provide another 256 homes to contribute towards alleviating the housing crisis in Lewisham. Our development team is working on bringing more projects through the pipeline, with over 800 homes across 14 sites in design and planning. These include nearly 500 for social rent and over 300 for sale or shared ownership to subsidise the programme.
They are all part of the London Borough of Lewisham’s ambitious Building for Lewisham programme.
