Developed by a panel of industry and emergency service experts, British Standard BS 9997:2019 offers robust assurance that organisations are meeting the requirements of all relevant fire safety legislation.
In February 2022 we completed the surveillance audit for the BS 9997 accreditation. We are delighted to report that the auditor was very impressed with our fire risk management system, particularly with the improvements we have made in comparison to last year’s successful audit.
There are two non-conformities and three recommendations this year compared to 15 non-conformities and 10 recommendations last year. This clearly demonstrates that the hard work, commitment and dedication of everyone involved has paid huge dividends.
The auditor commented on our staff’s knowledge, commitment and professionalism.
We remain ahead of the crowd in achieving and retaining the certification as the first London local authority and only the second landlord in London to receive it.
