We’re proud to be 100% Lewisham and work closely with residents who want to help our communities thrive. Our Community Relations team regularly consults with residents to understand what you like about where you live, what improvements you’d like to see, and what activities could benefit your community.
If you’re interested in talking to us about anything community-related, please get in touch on 0800 028 2 028 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. See below for the many ways we engage with residents and how you can get involved.
Your views and experience are important in helping to improve and shape the services we offer to residents. There are lots of ways you can get involved in making a difference in the way we work.
Community engagement activities
With arts, crafts, and outdoor adventures on your doorstep, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to local events and activities.
Do you want to see more community spaces in your area? Is there an empty space on your estate that you think could be used to provide community services and projects? Get in touch to let us know and see what support we can offer.
We work with a range of partners and sponsors to deliver our community programme. Lewisham Tenants Fund supports many of our activities. We also work with our partners at the Albany in Deptford on Love2Dance, a programme to get local young people into dance. See the video below for an example of the great work our partners do in our community.
Volunteering can be a valuable and rewarding experience. It offers an opportunity to learn new skills and boost your employment prospects. We work closely with Voluntary Action Lewisham and Lewisham Local to identify the latest opportunities.
We consult with residents in lots of ways. We might send you a letter, knock on your door, or invite you to a forum. We’re always keen to know what you think about where you live. Our consultations help us to understand your priorities, and develop a better understanding of where you live. Check out our latest news and events calendar for current consultations.
