Free housing courses
Our FREE courses with London Metropolitan University will help you to learn more about Lewisham Homes and housing, get involved in shaping our services, and effectively challenge and improve our work. We offer one-day and three-day courses to suit your interests and availability.
There are apprenticeship opportunities at Lewisham Homes in a variety of roles, from learning a trade such as plumbing or electrical in our repairs team, to providing admin support for our services helping residents. We also work closely with Lewisham Council, which offers a range of construction training options and routes into work.
Resident Scrutiny Committee
If you would like to be part of the Resident Scrutiny Committee, we offer accredited training from the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS). You’ll also receive ongoing support from the Community Relations team, as well as additional training to help you achieve your potential.
There are lots of places across Lewisham that support people to get online. You can also access free digital training to help grow your confidence getting connected. If you don’t have internet at home, all of the libraries in the borough offer free web access.
We work with many organisation that offer employment support services to residents across Lewisham. They offer one to one advice and support plus training opportunities for people in work and for those who are unemployed.
